Passion in Action – Social Change with NLP ‘07
with Judy DeLozier and Judith Lowe - an invitation to join us in September!
The ‘Passion in Action’ project came about as a natural way of bringing to life some conversations that Judy DeLozier and I had been having over several years.
We are both passionate about NLP being available to help people who want to contribute to positive changes in the world and who want to create more ecological, peaceful and just ways to live our lives – locally and globally.
In my own work with NLP over 20 years, I have met many extraordinary people, learning NLP with us – in health, in education, in the arts, in business, as parents, etc – who really want to use their NLP skills to make a difference.
Judy too, in her work, and as an original developer of NLP, has also been inspired by so many people doing amazing, visionary things in their own communities.
We were wondering how we could personally support people with these goals and dreams to use the powerful and transformational approaches of NLP for more explicitly social, environmental and community issues?
We wanted to create an affordable and inspirational, open-to-all, seminar which would give support and key, practical tools which could be used by people to strengthen and guide their leadership, vision, relationships, plans and actions…
Our ideas gradually took shape… and we began designing a 3-day workshop-type training…
We talked with keen NLPers – our friends and colleagues...
Robert Dilts warmly contributed by giving us permission to use some of his latest models – for generative collaboration and project development.
Many other people added their positive encouragement and suggestions...
And so… this seminar is our ‘Passion in Action’ project!
And we invite you to come and join us and be a part of something we feel is quite unique and special in the field of NLP.
What’s in the training? What will I learn?
The training is very interactive and experiential – you’ll be able to develop and evolve your own ideas and projects – and enjoy having like-minded and encouraging group members as your coaches and support team.
There are three key ‘project management’ issues which the training focuses on:
- Visionary Leadership – connecting to your deepest values and biggest dreams… for your project to be both relevant, meaningful and inspirational to you and others.
- Generative Collaboration and ‘Sponsorship’ of others – building and inspiring your team to be self-motivated, engaged and creative and supporting and appreciating each individual member’s personal aspirations and contribution… also understanding people and their perspectives from all parts of the system you are wanting to influence.
- Personal Congruence and Self-Sponsorship – being aligned, ‘walking the talk’, resolving inner doubts/conflicts and staying healthy, practicing self-care and personal well-being.
The tools will include;
-‘Dreamer’ – the big picture/ core values
- ‘Field-based’ information-gathering and connection
- Key principles of systemic change
- Group motivation and creative collaboration
- Personal Alignment and self-sponsorship
- Timeline planning, feasibility issues
-‘Gathering the Allies’
- Constructive feedback
- Dilts’ ‘Dream Guardians’
And… we’ll use NLP modelling to find ‘what works’ and to bring out more of your own personal excellence and inner resources.
Who is it for?
Anyone with a social project in mind and who would enjoy spending 3 exciting days with us and this year’s ‘Passion’ group progressing their dreams into realities.
Can I bring my team?
Yes – several groups and teams have attended and found it a terrific way to work together on a shared project.
Do I have to know any NLP?
No – everything in the training is designed so that even people new to NLP will be able to join in all the activities and discussions. There will be a team of experienced NLP coaches in the seminar who will be pleased to support you.
Everyone is welcome!
We like to create a warm, friendly, fun and inspiring experience.
